A Look at the Plan of Jesus Christ for His Coming to Glory
What, then, will it be like in the church when we do respond ... just before His coming “in the clouds”? What will be going on in our congregations? In the Center Place? In the world?
Why did Christ so persistently prompt His people to gather? What is there that He could do with them in such a situation that He could not do while scattered?
Did He give us any hints ... or just tell us to gather for gathering’s sake?
Does our procrastinating in His call to gather cause Him to continue to weep?
He will come again on the earth. When He does, there will be a people with which He, the Lord, will be “well pleased”?
In Enoch’s time, there was such a people. They were all “caught up” with Him in the heavens. In these latter days, such a people almost made it, ... in the early years of the Restoration.
Within the pages of this book, I will attempt to project myself to that time when our Christ can stop weeping—just before His coming in glory, take a look at a totally responsive congregation in that day, and look at what this “strength” does for the Center Place and what, then, is simultaneously happening “in the world.”
I chose to attempt to prepare myself for “mission impossible” by swallowing the Doctrine and Covenants three times, asking myself in the process, “What did He give to a people that they did not already have that made it a Restoration?” (Certainly it must have been sufficiently important to require the lives of several to bring it forth.)
